GDC 2022の3日目に開催された「Game Developers Choice Awards」にて，インディー開発スタジオのDaniel Mullins Gamesが制作した「Inscryption」がGame of the Yearを獲得した。同日行われた「Independent Games Festival」でも最優秀賞に選出されている。
